Japanese Wednesday Class Fan-Making Exchange Event July 23, 2025

The Japanese Wednesday Class held a fan-making exchange event on July 23, just before summer vacation.

 Seating was determined by lottery, and the event began in a relaxed atmosphere with self-introductions and new volunteer teachers and classmates. Both teachers and students used the same fan kits to create their own designs on the paper front and back of their fans, drawing pictures and writing, and attaching stickers and origami paper. Once their designs were complete, they were attached to the fan's core to complete the experience.

Everyone created a unique, summery fan. The early groups enjoyed playing a yes-or-no quiz with their fans. From now on, students can bring their own fans to festivals to cool off.
